Job summary

Academics Ltd. in Aldershot is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to help pupils across Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2 manage emotions, engage with learning, and build positive relationships.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, work with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored strategies, and promote safe, inclusive learning across the school day (8:30 am - 3:30 pm, term-time only).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs or SEND is advantageous.
• Empathy, patience and dedication to help children thrive.
• Ability to work with teachers and SENCO to support pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural and SEND needs.
• Implement tailored behaviour management strategies for individual pupils.
• Collaborate with teachers to maintain a calm, structured learning environment.
• Support de-escalation and proactive management of challenging behaviour.
• Work with SENCO and parents to review individualised support plans.
• Promote wellbeing and safety during lessons, breaks, and activities.
