Job summary

Hethersett Academy in Norwich is seeking a reliable, dynamic Behaviour Officer to support and supervise pupils temporarily removed from lessons. The role is based at Hethersett Academy, with responsibilities including managing the Behaviour Room and assisting reintegration into learning.

You will work with a team to provide calm, supportive guidance, communicate with parents, and help maintain a safe, structured school environment while upholding high standards of conduct.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Experience of working with children.
• Ability to work with challenging situations and remain calm.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise pupils in the Behaviour Room.
• Provide immediate support for behavioural incidents and assist reintegration.
• Liaise with parents by telephone or meeting to discuss behaviour improvements.
• Contribute to and monitor internal exclusion records and flag concerns.
