Job description

Summary

We are looking for a Behaviour Support Officer to support our students at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting the implementation of the Behaviour for Learning Policy
  • Ensuring the calm and purposeful entrance and exit of students into/out of and around the academy
  • Monitoring and supervising students before school, during break, and lunch
  • Managing late detentions
  • Ensuring students wear full academy uniform and following procedures if not
  • Following up on students failing to meet standards
  • Handling behaviour issues, taking statements, and passing them on
  • Mentoring students on PSPs
  • Reporting safety issues promptly for investigation
  • Supervising internally excluded students or those exited from lessons
  • Delivering curriculum in the supervision room
  • Providing appropriate work and provisions
  • Liaising with parents and staff for smooth transitions
  • Role modeling positive conduct
  • Setting clear expectations and enforcing rules
  • Supporting monitoring of behaviour and attendance reports with Heads of House and APs
  • Managing report cards and punctuality records
  • Organizing late detention records
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Supporting attendance and punctuality initiatives
  • Overseeing late arrivals registration

Qualifications & Experience
