Job summary

Milk Education is seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Assistants to support pupils across primary schools in Gateshead. Roles are available on both a part-time and full-time basis with flexible supply work, long-term placements and permanent opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour.
• Ability to work with teachers and SEN staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils needing behavioural and emotional support.
• Support regulation of emotions and positive coping strategies.
• Assist with behaviour support plans and personalised interventions.
• Promote inclusive classroom environment and engagement.
