Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant in Mansfield to support secondary pupils with challenging behaviour on a long-term supply basis, starting January 2027. The role pays £95-£110 per day and focuses on promoting inclusion and positive engagement in learning.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant on a long-term supply basis from January, supporting secondary-aged pupils including providing 1:1 support where required. The successful Behaviour Mentor will help pupils displaying challenging behaviour to remain engaged in learning, promote positive behaviour and support the school s inclusive approach.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
• Experience providing 1:1 support
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• A positive and inclusive approach to supporting young people
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
