Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Primary PRU in Blandford Forum for an October 2026 start. You will support pupils with behavioural needs in small class settings, assisting with lesson delivery and promoting a safe, positive learning environment.

The role is full-time and flexible, with opportunities to contribute to tailored programmes. Experience in SEMH, SEN, PRU, youth work or care is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEMH/SEN in a PRU setting.
• Experience in youth work or care is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in small classes and support pupils individually.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in a specialist Primary PRU with behavioural needs.
• Assist planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
