The Behaviour Support will work alongside teaching and pastoral teams to help learners overcome behavioural barriers,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in education, mentoring, youth work, care, or a related environment.
• Understanding of positive behaviour management and de-escalation approaches.
• Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions in challenging situations.
• Confidence establishing clear boundaries while maintaining supportive relationships.
• Strong communication skills with a patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Build respectful relationships with young people who require additional behavioural guidance.
• Recognise triggers and early signs of frustration, withdrawal, or disruption.
• Implement agreed strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Guide students through difficult situations using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Record significant incidents and monitor changes in engagement and conduct.
• Coordinate with teachers and pastoral colleagues to ensure consistent support.

Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
