Job summary

Orbis Education & Care Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist to support schools across Powys, delivering expert behavioural consultation, coaching staff, and developing Positive Behaviour Support plans to improve outcomes for children and young people.

This role offers year-round work and stability beyond term-time patterns. You will work collaboratively with education professionals, families and multidisciplinary teams, providing assessments, training, and documentation to inform

Qualifications

Degree in Psychology, Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Behaviour Analysis, or related discipline.
Experience supporting children and young people with SEND and behavioural needs.
Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and functional assessment approaches.
Experience working within educational settings.
Knowledge of autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Strong report-writing and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Powys.
Experience delivering staff training and professional development.
Knowledge of sensory processing and sensory-informed environments.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
Understanding of SEND legislation and graduated response frameworks.

Responsibilities

Provide behavioural consultation and support to Powys schools.
Undertake behavioural and functional assessments.
Develop Positive Behaviour Support plans and intervention strategies.
Support schools to implement trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
Deliver training on behaviour support, regulation, autism, ADHD, de-escalation, inclusion and outcomes.
Coach teachers and school leaders to build sustainable practice.
Support reduction of exclusions and restrictive practices.
Attend multidisciplinary meetings and planning sessions.
Analyse behavioural and wellbeing data to inform interventions.
Produce professional reports, recommendations and documentation.
