Job summary

Orbis Education & Care is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist to support Powys schools with evidence-based behavioural strategies, coaching, and professional development. The role offers a full-year contract and opportunities to impact multiple educational settings.

You will lead assessments, develop PBS plans, and train staff to implement trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. A relevant degree and UK driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND and behavioural needs.
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and functional assessment.
• Experience in educational settings and working with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioural consultation and support to schools across Powys.
• Undertake behavioural and functional assessments.
• Develop Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and intervention strategies.
• Support schools to implement trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
• Deliver training on behaviour support, regulation, autism, ADHD, de-escalation, inclusion and positive outcomes.
• Coach teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders to build sustainable practice.
• Support reduction of exclusions and barriers to learning.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
• Analyse behavioural and wellbeing data to inform interventions.
• Produce professional reports, recommendations and documentation.
