Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a Specialist School in Salisbury. The role is full-time with an ASAP start, offering pay of 90-105 per day.

You will support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, building trust and helping them engage with learning. You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to sustain a positive learning environment, employing consistent behaviour approaches and helping pupils develop coping strategies.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Help children understand and manage their emotions and behaviour.
• Support pupils to develop positive coping strategies and social skills.
• Use consistent and positive behaviour management approaches.
• Encourage pupils to engage with their education and overcome barriers to learning.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to maintain a positive learning environment.
