Job summary

St Bart's Multi Academy Trust, in partnership with Abbey Hill Academy and College, seeks a motivated individual to join our dedicated team supporting teaching, learning and behaviour management for SEN pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.

You will monitor conduct, supervise pupils across settings and work with those not on the timetable. The role requires resilience, teamwork and a willingness to undertake Safety Intervention Training within a warm, supportive school culture.

Qualifications

  • Monitor pupils' conduct and behaviour and intervene to resolve complex, difficult or very challenging issues.
  • Supervise individuals and groups of pupils throughout the day, including in classroom, playground and dining areas.
  • Work with pupils not on the normal timetable.
  • Escort and supervise pupils on educational and out-of-school activities.
  • Be resilient and have strong behavioural management skills.
  • Be willing to undertake and deliver Safety Intervention Training.
  • Work as part of a committed and friendly team.

Responsibilities

  • Join the Behaviour Service Support Manager as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning and behaviour management for SEN pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Support pupils with their learning and behaviour in different school settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
