Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a full-time role at an AP in inner-city Nottingham. The role involves supporting pupils across KS2 to KS4 with behaviour management, promoting a positive learning environment and helping students engage with their education.

The position offers market-rate pay, 24/7 consultant support, CPD certificates, and a referral scheme. Payroll is PAYE with standard Tax/NI deducted.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in education, youth work or behaviour support are desirable.
• Experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS2, KS3 or KS4.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young people.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision / AP based in inner-city Nottingham, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. The provision supports pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2 to Key Stage 4 / KS4 who require additional support with their behaviour and engagement in education.

The provision is looking to take on a confident Behaviour Mentor on a full-time basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Behaviour Mentor will work closely with pupils across KS2 to KS4, supporting behaviour management, maintaining a positive learning environment and helping young people engage effectively with their education.

The successful Behaviour Mentor will have:

• Relevant qualifications in education, youth work or behaviour support are desirable
• Experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
• Experience supporting pupils across KS2, KS3 or KS4
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
