Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor in Nottingham to support pupils across KS2 to KS4 with challenging behaviour. The role demands strong behaviour management, de-escalation skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

The position offers an immediate start, full-time hours and market-leading pay rates. A PAYE arrangement is in place to ensure proper tax handling and NI contributions.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision / AP based in inner-city Nottingham, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. The provision supports pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2 to Key Stage 4 / KS4 who require additional support with their behaviour and engagement in education.

The provision is looking to take on a confident Behaviour Mentor on a full-time basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Behaviour Mentor will work closely with pupils across KS2 to KS4, supporting behaviour management, maintaining a positive learning environment and helping young people engage effectively with their education.

The successful Behaviour Mentor will have:

• Relevant qualifications in education, youth work or behaviour support are desirable




• Experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour




• Experience supporting pupils across KS2, KS3 or KS4




• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills




• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils




• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young people
