Job summary

Academics in the UK is seeking a Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Supply Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs across partner schools in Rotherham. Location: Rotherham. Pay: £92.56 - £110 per day (inc. holiday pay).

Start: ASAP / Flexible. This role is about helping children regulate emotions, re-engage with learning and build confidence. SEN or youth-work experience is valued and a DBS on the Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour in education, care, or youth settings.
• TA qualification is desirable but not required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK with strong references and DBS update service.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs across partner schools in Rotherham.
• Help pupils regulate emotions, re-engage with learning and build confidence.
• Adapt support to individual needs and follow school guidelines.
