Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for an Alternative Provision in inner-city Nottingham. The role covers KS2 to KS4, focusing on behaviour management and helping pupils engage with learning in a supportive setting.

The successful candidate will join a full-time, temporary post with an immediate start. Salary is £120–£130 per day, with on-site working in Nottingham and a commitment to safeguarding and pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in education, youth work or behaviour support are desirable.
• Experience with children and young people displaying challenging behaviour.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS2, KS3 or KS4.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Resilient, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Support behaviour management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Help pupils engage effectively with education across KS2–KS4.
• Work closely with pupils to foster positive relationships.
