Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a reputable alternative provision in Bury, M45. You will support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, providing one-to-one and small-group guidance and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of GBP13.69–GBP15.83, a full-time, long-term contract, and an ASAP start date.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with students.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant qualifications in education or related fields are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and review IEPs.
• Monitor and record student progress, reporting findings to senior leadership.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
