Job summary

Ethos Education Ltd is recruiting for a Northolt school seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who struggle with regulating emotions and behaviour. You’ll build positive relationships, set clear boundaries and help pupils develop strategies to stay engaged.

You will provide 1:1 behaviour support, work with small groups and collaborate with teachers and the pastoral/SEND team to encourage positive behaviour and improved engagement with lessons.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEND or vulnerable young people.
• Calm, patient and confident role model with clear boundaries.
• Experience in education, youth work, mentoring or coaching preferred.
• Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of safeguarding procedures.

Job description

A school in Northolt is looking for a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their team ASAP.

This role is focused on supporting pupils who may find it difficult to regulate their emotions, manage their behaviour or remain engaged with learning. You’ll build positive relationships with pupils, provide consistent boundaries and help them develop strategies to manage challenging situations more successfully.

Your day could involve providing 1:1 behaviour support, working with small groups, helping pupils re-engage with lessons and supporting students during difficult moments. You will work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral/SEND team to encourage positive behaviour and improve engagement with school.

The school is looking for someone calm, patient and confident who can be a positive role model while maintaining clear expectations. Previous experience supporting challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEND or vulnerable young people would be highly beneficial.

Experience could come from education, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or a similar setting.
