Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to work in Salisbury schools, supporting pupils’ behaviour, engagement and wellbeing under teaching staff guidance.

The role offers full-time or part-time hours, term-time only, with 14.24 p/h and potential increases based on experience. DBS checks and safeguarding are emphasised in the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion.
• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development.
• Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities.

Behaviour Mentor

Location: Salisbury
Salary: £14.24 p/h - higher rates available depending on experience/qualifications
Contract Type: Full-time & part-time available
Start Date:November or December 2026

Vision for Education is working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive schools across Salisbury to recruit dedicated Behaviour Mentors. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting pupils' behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing in a structured and supportive learning environment, while gaining valuable experience within the classroom.

We are looking for committed Behaviour Mentors who can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour with both mainstream and SEN students of all ages, helping with engagement and confidence throughout the school day.

The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)

Pay & Hours: 14.24 p/h. Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only.
