Behaviour Mentor - Bletchley

Are you passionate about supporting young people with challenging behaviours and mental health needs? We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision in Bletchley, working with secondary-aged pupils who require specialist intervention to engage with education.

As a Behaviour Mentor in Bletchley, you will work closely with students who have experienced barriers to learning, including emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA), anxiety, and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, and capable of building positive relationships with young people to help them re-engage with education.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
  2. Implement strategies to improve students’ emotional regulation and social skills.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure tailored support.
  4. Act as a positive role model, building trust and confidence in students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, youth worker, teaching assistant, or similar role.
  • Experience working with teenagers in schools, youth centres, or personal experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
  • A commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

Salary: Competitive weekly pay ranging from £450-£500 per week, dependent on experience and qualifications.
