Job summary

Derby Pride Academy is seeking a dedicated Behaviour & Learning Practitioner (BLP) to support pupils aged 11–16. You will work with teachers to reinforce learning, promote positive behaviour, and help students reach their full potential in and beyond the classroom.

This fixed-term, term-time role offers a salary on the Derby City Support Pay Scale, with an annual range of £25,938–£28,160, and benefits including LGPS, health cover, and access to CPD resources.

Location: Derby Pride Academy

Grade/Scale: Derby City Support Pay Scale - Grade F, Point 15 - 20. Actual Salary, £25,938 - £28,160 per annum

Contract: 37 hours per week, term time only, Fixed Term contract

Derby Pride Academy (DPA) became one of the first alternative provision academy free schools to ever open within the country. DPA offers alternative provision for young people aged 11 - 16 who are referred by their mainstream school or Derby City LA. The academy provides an environment where all students feel understood, valued and cared for.

DPA is looking to appoint a Behaviour & Learning Practitioner (BLP). The successful candidate will be a patient, enthusiastic and supportive individual who is passionate about helping pupils to achieve their full potential. They will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both in and out of the classroom.
