Job summary

Leighfield Primary School in England is seeking a Behaviour and Inclusion Practitioner to support pupils’ wellbeing, inclusion and engagement in learning.

You will work with staff, families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour and ensure all pupils reach their potential. The role is fixed-term until August 2027, with term-time hours 08:40–13:10, 39 weeks per year, and a starting salary within Grade 7 Pay Point 11–14.

Qualifications

• Three years’ relevant experience with primary-school children.
• Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2.
• A Level 3 qualification or demonstrable equivalent knowledge/experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of an inclusive, nurturing environment with belonging, safety and high ambition.
• Work with staff to secure a consistent, relational and inclusive approach to behaviour across the school.
• Develop trusting relationships with children and families, including those facing barriers to learning, attendance or wellbeing.
• Promote proactive, early identification and timely intervention rather than crisis response.
