Job summary

Ridgeway Academy in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Behaviour Improvement Officer for a fixed term maternity cover. The role supports Heads of Year and pastoral staff to manage daily student wellbeing and delivers targeted interventions during 39 weeks of term time plus 1 week (0.8708 FTE).

The salary ranges from £22,779.49 to £26,797.29, with 35 hours per week. The post is part of the Ambition Education Trust and offers opportunities for professional development within a collaborative team

Pay scale: H5/6 (SCP 9-19) £28,153 - £33,119 paid pro rata for hours and weeks worked

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Weeks: 39 weeks term time plus 1-week (39 weeks) 0.87080279 FTE

Actual salary: £22,779.49 - £26,797.29 (includes holiday entitlement)

Ridgeway Academy is part of the Ambition Education Trust (AET). The Behaviour Improvement Officer is an integral part of the Behaviour team. They will be a flexible and supportive member of staff who can assist Heads of Year and Pastoral Leaders in the effective daily management of the students, as well as providing a supportive framework for individual and group intervention as necessary. The nature of the role is such that flexibility and self-motivation are crucial to success.
