King's School is an ecumenical Christian School in the Diocese of Chichester, for years 7 to 11. Our work and relationships are based upon the four core Christian values of Love, Forgiveness, Respect and Responsibility and through these we encourage and support every student and member of staff to be the best that they can be.
At King's, we take pride in our exceptional track record of academic success and our varied enrichment program, which is integral to our school day. Here are some key features of our school:
The school opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2013; moving to its permanent site, a purpose-built facility for all areas of the curriculum, in September 2019. There are currently just over 900 students in years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and a team of over 100 teachers and support staff.
The school received its most recent Ofsted inspection in May 2026, under the revised framework. We were exceptionally proud to receive Strong ratings across all aspects of lower school provision and an extremely positive report card.
The lead inspector praised students' behaviour "The school has high expectations of pupils' behaviour and their attitudes to learning. These are consistently reinforced by staff. Pupils follow the rules well, so the school has a very positive atmosphere for learning" , curriculum and teaching "A typical day sees pupils arriving at school enthusiastic and ready to learn. Pupils enjoy the way they are taught by skilled staff who help them understand new learning. Pupils achieve highly" and approach to inclusion "The school is highly effective in ensuring that all pupils are fully included, particularly those who may experience barriers to their learning or wellbeing". He concluded that "Pupils thoroughly enjoy their time at King's. They thrive in this school and are proud to attend. Pupils are well known and well cared for by staff, with whom they have very positive relationships".
Our recent staff survey found that staff feel supported and valued.
