Job summary

The Farley Center in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech (MHT) for a full-time night shift. The role offers a rotating weekends schedule and base pay of $18–$21 per hour plus shift differentials.

This onsite position provides comprehensive benefits after 30 days and opportunities for tuition assistance and daily pay options. Responsibilities include supervising clients, conducting safety checks, maintaining charts, and facilitating therapy groups.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conducts safety checks and ensures supervision per guidelines.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages valuables.
• Interacts with clients and encourages participation in group therapy and activities.
• Engages with clients in activities to achieve treatment goals.
• Facilitates client educational groups on social and coping skills.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports changes to the charge nurse.
