Job summary

Academics Agency are recruiting a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Mid Sussex. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage emotions and behaviour, and building positive relationships to enable learning.

Ideal candidates will have experience with behavioural or SEMH needs, a calm, patient approach, and the ability to form strong relationships with children. Long-term, full-time cover with pay aligned to the client's policy.

This role would suit someone who is confident supporting children who may experience challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties or SEMH needs.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group behaviour support


• Helping pupils manage emotions and regulate their behaviour

• Supporting pupils to engage with learning


• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
