Job summary

Academics Agency are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Mid Sussex. The role involves 1:1 and small-group behaviour support, helping pupils manage emotions and regulate their behaviour.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide a calm, consistent and nurturing approach for pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient.
• Confident managing challenging behaviour.
• Able to build strong relationships with children.
• Experience in a school, SEN, youth work or support setting is desirable.
