Job summary

Ashbury CE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic person to support its Extended Provision before and after school club in term time. The role focuses on childcare, creative play, keeping children safe, preparing healthy food, administering first aid and medication, and maintaining records.

The post is 15 hours per week, split between an early-morning session and an afternoon-to-evening session, Monday to Friday. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or after-school provision.
• First aid certification or training.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate with parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and creative play for children in line with childcare policy.
• Deputise for the playleader when required.
• Support children's individual needs and maintain behaviour boundaries.
• Manage handover/collection of children to parents or carers.
• Support safety procedures, risk assessments and fire drills.
• Prepare healthy food and drinks in line with school guidelines.
• Assist with day-to-day administration and record keeping.
• Work with the school team to promote the club.
• Administer first aid and medication as appropriate.
• Attend playwork training and local networking opportunities.
• Foster constructive relationships with parents and professionals.
