An established healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a motivated Forensic Bed Manager and Discharge Coordinator. The shift pattern for this role is predominantly during clinical hours, with potential shift work to meet service needs.
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and solutions-focused nurse to join the DFMHLD Senior Leadership Team as a Forensic Bed Manager and Discharge Coordinator. This unique role involves using excellent judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills to manage admissions and discharges for a diverse patient group within the forensic service on local, regional, and national levels.
The ideal candidate should have significant competent clinical experience at Band 6 level, be a Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, and possess excellent knowledge of Mental Health Legislation. The candidate must be able to work independently, make autonomous decisions, and demonstrate effective communication skills, including negotiation, influencing, and persuading, especially during admission and discharge discussions. Strong networking and collaborative skills are essential for working with other disciplines within the organization and across the wider Forensic Network.
