Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a leading automation provider delivering intralogistics solutions across the UK. You will program and commission Beckhoff PLC systems, support installations, and troubleshoot software issues while collaborating with project teams.

The role involves travel across the UK, occasional trips to the company’s headquarters in Germany, and opportunities to work from home when feasible.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven PLC programming experience (Beckhoff TwinCAT preferred)
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
• Driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Program and configure automation processes for key UK customer accounts.
• Carry out software commissioning activities as part of the team supporting this account.
• Maintain customer systems and implement/integrate system modifications with Project Integration and Development teams.
• Deliver training sessions to customers and Service organization.
• Support the Service team in troubleshooting system-specific software issues and operational errors.
• Work primarily at customer sites in the UK, with visits to HQ in Germany and occasional home-based work.
