Job summary

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Functional Analyst to support the BDMC portfolio across Business Development, Marketing and Communications. You will work with Technology and Business Leaders, Product Managers, engineers and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery, system stability and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 2-3 years of business analysis or functional support experience.
• Experience in a legal environment preferred, but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Organized, exceptional work ethic, personal and professional integrity.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours, including shift work, on-call rotation and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration and support for a range of business development and marketing platforms (BakerCI, Marketo, Client Listening, Pitch & Pursuit, Employee Advocacy, Alumni Program, Mobile Apps).
• Act as First Responder to escalated incidents requiring deeper functional or technical analysis.
• Investigate root causes of system issues and provide diagnostics for permanent resolution.
• Monitor and review open incidents and ensure timely closure with clear communication.
• Coordinate with internal teams or vendors for incident analysis and RFCs as needed.
• Assist BDMC Team on special projects aligned with the portfolio roadmap.
• Collaborate with global/support teams to ensure coordinated responses and project alignment.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA teams and vendors on testing plans and UAT testing.
• Draft testing strategies and ensure adherence to Firm standards.
• Document product updates, features, and troubleshooting tips for BDMC channels.
• Develop training materials and knowledge base articles.
