Job summary

RETAIND Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in fabrication, welding, machining and assembly services. You will identify opportunities, engage with engineering and procurement stakeholders, and convert enquiries into orders.

The role is permanent, full-time, Birmingham-based with UK travel. A proven sales track record in the fabrication sector and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience within fabrication, engineering, manufacturing or technical sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to engage with engineering, procurement and operational decision-makers.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across fabrication, engineering and industrial markets.
• Arrange and attend customer meetings across the UK.
• Target organisations requiring subcontract fabrication, welding, machining, metalwork and assembly services.
• Generate leads through proactive business development and direct engagement.
• Build relationships with buyers, procurement, engineers and project managers.
• Manage opportunities from enquiry through quotation, negotiation and order placement.
