Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Business Development Managers to develop and implement practice area and marketing plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Build a deep understanding of the relevant practice groups and their sub-specialisms.
  • Support fee earners in planning and executing activities targeting clients, intermediaries, and key contacts.
  • Work closely with the Pitch Team to assist with pitch activity and lead on credentials capture processes.
  • Produce and analyse data relating to marketing initiatives and take the lead on legal directory submissions.
  • Conduct market and competitor research and contribute to client mapping exercises.
  • Facilitate internal communications to support cross-selling opportunities.
  • Partner with the Marketing Communications Team to deliver targeted campaigns and collaborate with the Events Team on seminars and client events.
  • Assist with the creation of press releases and PR initiatives and support profile-raising activities for fee earners.
  • Develop and maintain practice area materials, and help leverage thought leadership content, including supporting fee earners with their LinkedIn profiles.
  • Compile client newsletters and alerts, manage targeted distribution lists, monitor engagement, and provide feedback to partners.
  • Proofread documents to ensure consistency with house style.
Person Specification
  • 2–4 years’ experience in marketing and business development within a professional services environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, including partners.
  • Eagerness to develop knowledge of the relevant legal practice areas.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and able to drive marketing and business development initiatives forward.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge ideas constructively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
