Job summary

Evera Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the electrode manufacturing team, supporting the development of next-generation battery materials through laboratory testing, sample preparation and process development. The role spans laboratory experiments to pilot-scale coating processes, helping generate data and insights for ongoing product development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a scientific or laboratory environment through industry, placements or internships.
• Practical laboratory experience including safe handling of chemicals and operation of laboratory equipment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse and interpret experimental data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrode slurries, coatings and samples for testing and evaluation.
• Support electrode manufacturing trials across laboratory and pilot-scale processes.
• Conduct routine testing, characterisation and data analysis activities.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Prepare and present experimental results to engineering and technical teams.
• Develop and maintain laboratory documentation, including SOPs, COSHH assessments and Risk Assessments.
• Manage laboratory consumables and support general laboratory organisation.
• Collaborate with materials, cell development and engineering teams on research activities.
