Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Batching Plant Operative for its Abergele site. The role involves producing concrete and mortar, maintaining a safe site environment, and delivering excellent customer service. You will work on a one‑person site, must be proactive, organized, and confident managing operations independently.

Training is provided (Front Loader experience required). The position offers a competitive salary of up to £32,000 per year and 45 hours per week with overtime

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Front‑End Loader is essential.
• Computer literacy is required for daily site administration.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Produce concrete/mortar to exact requirements in collaboration with the order office and site team.
• Operate the batching plant and FEL safely, with routine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe site and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality policies.
• Keep stock levels via daily checks and weekly stock assessments; support environmental procedures.
