Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK, located in Abergele, is seeking a hands-on Batching Plant Operative to join our team. You will produce high-quality concrete and mortar, maintain a safe site environment, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires Front-End Loader experience, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently on a one-person site. 45 hours per week with overtime and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Front-End Loader experience and be comfortable operating plant equipment.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
• Computer literacy to support site administration and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce concrete/mortar to exact requirements in collaboration with the Order Office and plant team.
• Operat e batching plant and Front-End Loader safely; perform routine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with site safety rules.
• Support environmental procedures and administrative guidelines, keeping knowledge up to date.
• Contribute to a strong first impression through site presentation and assist with additional duties as needed.
