Qualifications

• Mindestens 1 Jahr Erfahrung in einer ähnlichen Position.
• Industriespezifische Zertifikate sind von Vorteil.

The Bartender will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by providing superior guest service and upholding quality standards for Coast Hotels' food & beverage operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides customer service by pouring all drinks as per industry standards, maintaining full product knowledge, upselling and promoting specials, taking, relaying, and serving food and/or beverage orders, providing food and/or beverage product knowledge.
2. Acts as an Ambassador for Coast including greeting guests, making them feel welcome, and handling inquiries related to area of specialty.
3. Handles cash, cheques, credit and debit card transactions in accordance with hotel policies; verifies all credit cards and room charges.
4. Checks on guest satisfaction and follows up on requests where possible and appropriate.
5. Ensures the safety and security of the property, the ambassadors, and guests when completing tasks.
6. Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels.
7. Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal/external contacts.
8. Ensures opening and closing duties are performed, maintains a neat and clean bar, and balances monies and charges.
9. Adheres to quality and industry standards.
10. Performs other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

1. Secondary school diploma.
2. Industry-specific certifications such as FOODSAFE and Serving It Right.
3. Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended.
4. Professional attitude and appearance.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
6. Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
7. Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
8. Strong time management and organizational skills.
9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
11. Exemplifies Coast’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability.
12. 1-year experience in a similar position.
13. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is an asset.
14. Squirrel experience is an asset.
15. Cash handling experience is an asset.
16. Knowledge of the products and facility in area of expertise.
17. Industry-specific certifications such as Bartender emerit are an asset.
18. Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
