Job summary

Easthampstead Park Hotel in Wokingham is seeking a full-time Bartender to join our on-site team. You will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain bar stock, keep the area clean, and present drinks to brand standards while welcoming guests and taking orders.

You will work with the food and beverage teams across the restaurants and event spaces, support service during weddings and conferences, handle payments accurately and comply with legal age and safety rules for

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests in a friendly, professional manner and handle queries or concerns effectively.
• Sound knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including drink preparation, menu awareness, and basic food safety practices.
• Proficient Cash Handling skills with accuracy in processing payments, operating POS systems, and managing receipts.
• Practical Bartending skills, including mixing and serving drinks, understanding cocktail recipes, and maintaining a clean, organized bar.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment is preferred, especially in a premium or event-led setting.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Legal right to work in the UK and compliance with age requirements for serving alcohol.

Role Description

The Bartender role is a full-time, on-site position based at Easthampstead Park in Wokingham. This role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining bar stock and cleanliness, and ensuring all drinks are presented to brand standards. The Bartender will welcome guests, take orders, provide recommendations, and handle payments accurately while following legal and safety regulations related to alcohol service. Daily tasks include setting up and closing the bar, supporting food and beverage service in the restaurants and event spaces, and collaborating with the wider hospitality team to deliver excellent guest experiences.
