Job summary

Acorn by Synergie in Wadebridge is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our hospitality team. You will provide friendly, professional bar service, prepare beverages, and ensure a welcoming guest experience in a hotel environment.

Flexible hours with an immediate start; 6pm-11pm shifts, eye towards high standards, health and safety compliance, and teamwork with restaurant and hotel staff.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or bar-service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Friendly, professional and confident approach.
• Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and bar service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to hotel standards.
• Provide friendly, professional and efficient service to all guests.
• Take orders accurately and process payments when required.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the bar and service areas.
• Keep bar equipment, glassware and work areas clean and ready for service.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment requirements to the supervisor.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a friendly, professional and customer-focused Bartender to join the hospitality team at located at Wadebridge.

The successful candidate will provide a high standard of bar service, prepare and serve beverages efficiently, and ensure guests receive a welcoming and enjoyable experience. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked bar area.

Key Duties

• Prepare and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to hotel standards.
• Provide friendly, professional and efficient service to all guests.
• Take orders accurately and process payments when required.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the bar and service areas.
• Keep bar equipment, glassware and work areas clean and ready for service.

• Follow responsible alcohol service practices and all hotel procedures.
• Respond to guest requests and queries in a professional and helpful manner.
• Work closely with the restaurant and wider hotel team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene and licensing requirements.

• Previous bartending or bar-service experience is preferred.

• Experience using a till or POS system.
• Knowledge of cocktails and beverage presentation.
