Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a friendly Bartender for Wadebridge hotel venue, starting immediately. You will prepare and serve a range of beverages, keep the bar organized, and deliver welcoming service to guests.

The role offers flexible hours, 6pm-11pm shifts, and pay between £13.00 and £14.00 per hour DOE, with opportunities to join a wider hospitality team and develop bar skills.

Qualifications

• Prior bartending or bar-service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Friendly, professional and confident approach.
• Ability to stay organised and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
• Experience in hotel, restaurant, pub or wider hospitality environment.
• Experience using a till or POS system; knowledge of cocktails and beverage presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to hotel standards.
• Provide friendly, professional and efficient service to all guests.
• Take orders accurately and process payments when required.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the bar and service areas.
• Keep bar equipment, glassware and work areas clean and ready for service.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment requirements to the supervisor.
• Follow responsible alcohol service practices and all hotel procedures.
• Respond to guest requests and queries in a professional and helpful manner.
• Work closely with the restaurant and wider hotel team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene and licensing requirements.
