Job summary

The Boxford Group in Newbury is seeking personable individuals to join our bar team to deliver exquisite cocktails and exceptional wine. The Bartender role focuses on outstanding service, bar setup, drink preparation, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Hours per week are 45, with opportunities to develop within a fast-growing and supportive hospitality group. A strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and attention to detail will help you excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Leaving Cert level education or above.
• NVQ qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to display a real passion for food, beverage and customer service.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Hands on and proactive approach.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, whilst carrying out all duties required.
• Take part in the setup of the bar.
• Take orders and prepare drinks.
• Prepare hot drinks.
• Abide by company policies and departmental procedures/training.
• Liaise with key people in all necessary areas of the business to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with menu/standards set by the managers.
• To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility including all other requirements as described in the Health & Safety Policy
