Job summary

Nest, located in Bishopsgate, is seeking a confident, friendly Bartender to join Urban Pubs & Bars. You’ll pour a range of beers, wines and spirits while making guests feel welcome, whether a quick after-work drink or a longer visit.

With a focus on hospitality, you’ll work closely with floor and kitchen teams, maintain bar standards, and support events. Training, progression and a supportive team culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Previous bar experience in a busy pub, bar or restaurant.
• Good knowledge of beer, wine and spirits; ability to pour a proper pint.

Responsibilities

• Serve beers, wines, spirits and occasional cocktails with confidence.
• Create a warm, easygoing guest experience for all customers.
• Keep the bar stocked, clean and running smoothly during busy periods.
• Know drinks well enough to recommend without feeling like a sales pitch.
• Assist with group bookings and corporate events; coordinate with floor and kitchen teams.

We’re looking for a Bartender who can pour a perfect pint, knows their Rioja from their Malbec, and most importantly knows how to make people feel welcome.. Nest sits right in the heart of Bishopsgate, serving the City from the first after-work round to the last. Great beer, a solid wine list, good food and a team that knows half our regulars by name. From packed Thursday nights and corporate parties to relaxed lunches, there’s always something happening behind our bar.. We’re looking for a confident, friendly and switched-on Bartender to join the team..

What you’ll be doing

Serving great beers, wines, spirits and the odd cocktail with confidence and consistency. Creating a warm, easygoing experience for every guest, whether they’re in for one or staying for six. Keeping the bar sharp, stocked and running smoothly, especially when the City clocks off and we’re three deep. Knowing our drinks well enough to recommend something without making it feel like a sales pitch. Helping deliver group bookings and corporate events that make people want to come back. Working closely with the floor and kitchen teams from opening to last orders. Keeping standards high on cleanliness, organisation and responsible service.

What we’re looking for

Experience matters, but attitude, personality and a genuine love of hospitality matter more.. Ideally you’ll have:. Previous bar experience in a busy pub, bar or restaurant. Good knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and you know how to pour a proper pint. The ability to work at pace without letting standards slip. A natural way with guests, from regulars to big work groups. A positive attitude and a good sense of humour. An eye for detail, because nobody wants a flat pint or a warm glass of white. A team-first mindset and the ability to stay calm on a Thursday night.
