Job summary

Hargreaves Industrial Services are recruiting a Barlow Leading Hand for our Drax Power Station site. You will supervise the shift team, liaise on operational requirements, and ensure compliance with permits and safety rules while maintaining plant and equipment.

The role requires IOSH or equivalent, experience with mobile plant, and a strong focus on safety. A permanent position with pension and health benefits is offered, at Drax in the UK.

Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent is required.
• Ability to fault find problems and act upon.
• Materials handling and mobile plant experience essential.
• Competent person within HIS and Drax Power Safety & Golden rules.
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift team and perform supervisory duties in the Barlow Supervisors absence.
• Ensure compliance with Drax Barlow permit/planning consents.
• Hand over and report operational status to OSS.
• Liaise on deployment of the shift team according to requirements.
• Provide shift team with duties and inspect plant areas.
• Carry out safety audits and report findings.
• Deliver safety toolbox talks and site safety information.
