Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Customer Services Assistant (Zero Hours) to support Asda's high-street operations. You will handle drinks, food preparation, and customer service in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on accuracy and hospitality.

You will work variable shifts in a casual, zero-hours capacity, representing the brand with professionalism and dedication to health, safety, and guest satisfaction. Training and progression opportunities accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and fast-paced retail environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
• Ability to handle cash and card payments.
• Comfort with high standards of food handling and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Asda and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Security regulations
