Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, working with Asda, is hiring a Customer Services Assistant on a zero-hours basis in the UK. You will serve drinks, handle payments, keep the bar area tidy, and work as part of a team to deliver excellent service across busy venues.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience, strong communication, and hands-on brewing equipment knowledge. This role offers on-site work, opportunities for development, and a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment or coffee machines is desirable.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Asda and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
• As part of Compass you'll help to feed people, fuel progress and forge connections in around 6,000 venues.
