Nineteen38 Coffee powered by Royal Voluntary Service in Luton is seeking a part-time Retail Customer Assistant to join a friendly team. Role involves serving customers, preparing drinks and food, handling EPOS payments and keeping the cafe tidy.

The role supports volunteers and staff, with a pro-rata holiday allowance and training opportunities. Salary is £12.71 per hour (£23,136 per annum FTE) and includes a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Barista/cafe experience is preferred.
• Calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of EPOS systems and payments.
• Understand Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures.
• Excellent communications skills and teamwork.
• Flexible to business needs and training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold drinks and freshly made foods.
• Serve customers, take orders and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards.
• Restock stock and rotate deliveries as required.
• Lead by example and support volunteers when needed.
• Maintain stock displays and assist with stock checks.
• Push loaded trolleys of stock where required.
