Job summary

Searcys, at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in London, is looking for a Barista to join The Hub cafe team. You will provide high-quality service to staff, guests and clients, handle coffee preparation, and support with breakfast and lunch service.

We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused individual with some food safety knowledge and good communication skills. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7am–4pm, on a 0-hour contract with the opportunity to earn discounts and employee

• Previous experience in a similar role in food service is a plus.
• Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up cafe area and coffee bar before each service.
• Provide counter service for breakfast and lunch.
• Assist with clearing and general cleaning duties.
• Check and store food and beverages after service.
• Ensure wastage forms are completed.
• Restock the fridge for the next day.
• Ensure labels and prices are correct; handle tills per procedures.

Job Description

• Cafe Barista
• £14 p/h – 0 hours contract
• Monday - Friday only
• 7am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

• To help set up the cafe area and coffee bar, ready for each service
• To provide counter service for breakfast & lunch offering
• To help with any clearing and general cleaning duties
• To check and put away any food and beverage after service
• To ensure wastage forms are completed
• To restock the fridge for the next day
• To ensure all labels and prices are correct
• To work on tills and following the Searcys cash handling procedures
