Responsibilities

• Grind, weigh, and extract espresso; steam milk to the right temperatures and textures.
• Greet guests, answer questions, take orders, and suggest tailored recommendations.
• Operate POS and handle cash and card payments accurately.
• Keep work stations and equipment tidy throughout shifts.
• Follow food safety regulations and calibrate espresso grinders regularly.
• Restock syrups, dairy milks, and report low stock to management.

Job Summary

We are seeking a warm, high-energy Barista to join our team. You will be a key part of day to day running of the cafe, crafting exceptional espresso beverages, maintaining a welcoming environment, and delivering standout customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Drink Preparation: Grind, weigh, and extract espresso; steam milk to proper temperatures and textures; craft specialty beverages according to recipe standards.
• Customer Experience: Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, take accurate orders, and offer tailored recommendations.
• POS & Transactions: Operate POS, process cash and card payments accurately.
• Store Maintenance: Keep work stations and equipment tidy throughout your shift.
• Quality & Safety: Follow all food safety regulations, monitor bean freshness, and regularly calibrate (dial in) espresso grinders.
• Inventory & Restocking: Restock syrups, dairy/non-dairy milks and report low stock to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous barista or food service experience preferred, but passion for coffee and willingness to learn are essential.
• Skills: Strong communication, active listening, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift stock with significant weight.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
