Job summary

The Walcot Group Limited in Bath is seeking a warm, high-energy Barista to join our cafe team. You will craft exceptional espresso beverages, maintain a welcoming environment, and deliver standout customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or food service experience is preferred, but passion for coffee and willingness to learn are essential.
• Strong communication and active listening skills are important.
• Good physical stamina to stand long periods and lift stock as needed.

Responsibilities

• Grind, weigh, and extract espresso; steam milk to the right temperatures and textures.
• Greet guests, answer questions, take orders, and suggest tailored recommendations.
• Operate POS and handle cash and card payments accurately.
• Keep work stations and equipment tidy throughout shifts.
• Follow food safety regulations and calibrate espresso grinders regularly.
• Restock syrups, dairy milks, and report low stock to management.
