Job summary

Ardencote Hotel & Spa in Warwickshire seeks an experienced Bar Supervisor to lead daily bar operations as part of the Food & Beverage team. You will work hands-on with the bar staff, support development, and ensure guests receive the high standard of service Ardencote is known for.

You will oversee service during busy periods, contribute to drink menus and promotions, and coach team members to elevate guest experiences across all bar areas.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Excellent knowledge of bar service, beverages and drink preparation.
• Confident leading and motivating a team.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Hands-on approach with calmness during busy services.
• Attention to detail and high presentation standards.
• Understanding of stock control, wastage and cost management.
• Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• Flexible to work across a hospitality rota including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support Bars Manager and Assistant Bars Manager with smooth bar operations.
• Lead and motivate the bar team during busy services.
• Ensure drinks are prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Contribute to seasonal cocktails, drinks menus and promotions.
• Train and coach team members; run briefings and daily priorities.
• Manage stock, ordering, wastage, stocktakes and rotas.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and licensing compliance.
• Support cash handling, security and key-control procedures.
