Job summary

Wine Inns is hiring a Bar and Waiting Person for The Chelsea in Belfast to join our pub team. This is a part‑time, seasonal role with flexible hours, based on customer demand and events, where you will deliver friendly, efficient service at the bar and dining areas while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Candidates should have at least 6 months bar service and foodservice experience, be a team player with excellent communication, and have knowledge of Micros.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months bar service experience is essential.
• A minimum of 6 months foodservice experience is desirable.
• A working knowledge of Micros is desirable.
• The ideal candidate will be a team player, customer focused and enthusiastic, with the desire to ensure that our customers receive excellent service.
• With excellent communication skills, the ideal candidate will be able to approach their work in a methodical and logical manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of customer service in the serving of food and drink.
• Set up the bar counter and the food service area in the appropriate manner as per Company procedures.
• Meet and greet customers, take food and drink orders and liaise with all relevant personnel to ensure the delivery of these orders to the customer.
• Anticipate the needs of the customer and ensure that the customer receives excellent service at all times.
• Ensure that the food service and bar service areas meet health and safety standards.
• Calculate bills correctly and accept and verify various payment methods.
• Refill bar stock levels and manage stock rotation.
• Carry out end-of-shift duties according to Company procedures.
• Carry out toilet checks on a regular basis.
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Perform other duties relevant and related to the post.
